Dido Florian Cloud de Bounevialle Armstrong



Dido Florian Cloud de Bounevialle Armstrong (born December 25, 1971) is a British pop singer who won a BRIT Award nomination and a Grammy Award for best singer. His name is known by the name Dido. He is a career in the music world since 1995.

Dido gain worldwide fame after recording her second album No Angel and its flagship single "Thankyou" which immediately captured the third position on the Billboard Hot 100 and the fourth position to chart the end of 100 songs. Dido is also famous with the song "White Flag". Dido's musical talent has emerged since his childhood. When the age of teens, Dido was able to play the piano, recorder, and violin very well.

In 1995, Dido began recording some songs are collected in a collection that he gave the title ODDS & ENDS. This demo is finally released by Nettwerk in CD format the same year.

Four years later, the new Dido opportunity to release another album. This time the second album is entitled NO ANGEL. The album is released in June 1999 it successfully sold 12 million copies and won 10 platinum albums.

During his career in the music world, including rare out albums of Dido. Within thirteen years, Dido released only four albums including LIFE FOR RENT and the latter SAFE TRIP HOME.

Although not much out the album, but Dido won many awards including the MTV Europe Music Awards, BRIT Awards, and ASCAP Award UK 1. Dido also dedicate a song on her new album to her father who had died. Thank You 'singer is singing the song from the album Grafton Street which will soon be released to commemorate his father, William.

Dido's father died in 2006 at the age of 68 years because of lupus. Lupus itself is a disease that attacks the immune system. And he recognizes lost father is very heavy for her.
