Music instrumental resources,heart and soul Kitaro


Kitaro, a great composer, but also in its simplicity. Born in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, 4 February 1953 with the name of Masanori Takahashi children in a peasant family Shinto. The name "Kitaro" is itself given by his friends in the Japanese cartoon character "Kitaro".

While still in high school, he liked soul and rhythm & blues. He learned to play guitar and performed with his band "Albatross" at parties and clubs. At that time he was strongly influenced by Otis Redding, a musician American R & B influenced Rhythm and Blues has a deep, emotional, how can I say? The audience felt the same feeling in my music. My music is not rhythm and blues, but it feels like a soul. "

In the early 1970s he had changed course and play on the keyboard. He joined the "Far East Family Band" and toured the world with the band. In Europe, he met the German synthesizer musician Klaus Schulze, a founder of Tangerine Dream. Schulze produced two albums for the group, Kitaro and give some hints on how to use a synthesizer. Kitaro around 1976, then left the group and traveled in Asia.

Kitaro is then returned to Japan and start a solo career in 1977. His first two albums Ten Kai and the Full Moon Story became a favorite among fans of the New Age movement in the cradle. But the music for a film series NHK "Silk Road" was the famous, so that there international attention.

Then he signed a worldwide distribution with Geffen Records in 1986. In 1987, he worked with various musicians, including Mickey Hart and Jon Anderson and record sales worldwide increased to 10 million copies. In addition, he was twice nominated for the Grammy and house music for the film "Heaven & Earth to nominated will receive a gift in 1994, the most original works of music. The success of the largest music Grammy Award in 2001 for his Thinking of You album.

Kitaro is a star, but it is very simple. "Nature inspires me. I am only a messenger," he said. "For me, certain songs are like clouds, some like water." Since 1983, his appreciation of nature Kitaro each year through the Mother Earth in a "concert" on Mount Fuji special or near his home in Colorado.
